David Stotesbury, BSc.(HK), C. Ped (C), Canadian Certified Pedorthist

Always interested in human anatomy and kinesiology, David’s interest in Pedorthics was sparked when a family member was prescribed a pair of custom foot orthotics. A combination of factors lead to this career path: a fascination with the assessment, explanation, and positive outcome of the pedorthic management as well as participation in multiple triathlons and a first marathon in skateboard shoes resulted in appreciation of the value of proper foot care and maintenance.

After high school, David went on to attend the University of Guelph and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics. After spending 4 years expanding his beekeeping operation and working as an apiarist at the University Of Guelph, he was drawn back to Pedorthics where he was able to complete multiple placements with the KRA team on his way to completing his Diploma in Pedorthics through Western University.

In his time spent outside the profession, David keeps busy beekeeping, woodworking, spending time with family and friends and cheering for the Maple Leafs.

Patrick Purves, B.H.K. (MS), C. Ped (C), Canadian Certified Pedorthist

As an avid athlete in high school, Patrick developed an interest in the field of sports medicine. He was first introduced to Pedorthics when his family doctor referred him to a member of the Pedorthic Services team for an assessment and a pair of custom foot orthotics.  Patrick’s successful outcomes gave him a true understanding of what the Pedorthic profession had to offer.

Patrick studied at the University of Windsor and graduated with his Bachelor in Human Kinetics with Honours in Movement Science in 2010. Following graduation Patrick pursued his passion in the health and fitness industry working as a Kinesiologist and personal trainer before entering the Pedorthics Program through Western University. Over the duration of the program Patrick was able to complete his placement with Kimberly Rau and Associates and following graduation is thrilled to be a part of the KRA team. Patrick practices in the Kitchener-Waterloo Clinics as well as Wingham and Elmira, Ontario.

In his spare time Patrick is an outdoor enthusiast and actively competes in a multitude of different sports including hockey, soccer, and squash.
